Joining Information
The Manchester Civic Band welcomes all individuals to join our weekly practices and become members. There is no membership form, no fees, nor sworn obligations, just an interest in music and proficiency on a band instrument. Don't worry, we use the word proficient in a generous sense. In many cases we have assisted new members in locating instruments, or introduced members to other instruments. Practices are open to all and are Wednesday evenings at 7 PM (varies by season) in the band room at Manchester Senior High School (see below). If you have any questions, feel free to contact us (see below).
Practices
Band practices are a focused yet informal time to gather and prepare music for upcoming concerts. While they do have a standard start and stop time, we understand you have other obligations, and welcome you to come rehearse with us even if you must show up late or leave early. After all, the civic band is as much about its members as it is serving its community!
Practices are regularly held Wednesday evenings in the band room at the Manchester Senior High School (southeast corner of building) starting at 7:00 PM. Practices go until sometime between 7:00 and 8:45 PM, and after practice fellowship opportunities are always available.
